Rate Increase in 2024

Dear Valued YMCA Member,

In 2023, the Tom A. Finch Community YMCA is celebrating 53 years of service to the Thomasville community and surrounding areas. Since our inception, our Y has remained committed to our mission to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Our volunteers, staff and members work together to create a welcoming and nurturing environment where everyone feels at home and can create a healthy lifestyle with friends and family. We continue to strive to meet the highest quality standards in our facilities and programs, while creating the greatest value for our members.

As always, we diligently work to leverage the financial resources entrusted to our organization, whether through program fees, membership dues, donations or grant funding. We are truly blessed to have the support of all of our volunteers, members, program participants, and donors who together have made our Y thrive for 53 years. The valuable resources each individual provides allows us to strengthen our capacity to serve a diverse and growing Thomasville and Davidson County community.

Our YMCA has been extremely fortunate to maintain our membership fees without any increases for the past 8 years. Strong financial stewardship has allowed our organization to hold membership rates while expanding services to our members and the community. As our organization evaluated the budget for this coming year, it became evident that in order continue to operate our services and programs in the highest quality manner, we must adjust our rates. Effective January 1, 2024, the membership rates for the Tom A. Finch Community YMCA will increase across every membership by $5 a month.

To best serve our community, our membership categories have remained the same. Included with this letter is a list of all membership types, who they can include and what the rate has increased to. If you would like to change your Y membership category or have any questions regarding your membership or our financial assistance program, please contact the Tom A.
