Thank you for interest in becoming a Tom A. Finch Community YMCA member! We have a something for everyone of all ages and look forward to including you in our community. The Y is more than a gym and swim, we are a place where children can make friends and learn new skills, where adults can begin their journey to a healthier lifestyle, and where families can have fun together. MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

WELLNESS COACH

Every new member will get a free one on one session with one of our Wellness Coaches. During this time the wellness coach will ask you questions about your goals and some past struggles you may have had in achieving those goals. The wellness coach will then create a work out plan that is oriented around your goals and walk you through parts of that work out including the machines or classes that will work best for you.

KID'S CLUB

Kid’s Club is childcare provided for children ages 4 weeks through age 12, while parent/guardians use the Y. There is no charge for Household or 1 Adult & Children memberships. Parent/Guardians must remain in the YMCA while their child(ren) are in Kid’s Club. All visits are limited to two hours per day. Click here to learn more.

TWO ADULTS: includes two adults 19 and over living in same household

HOUSEHOLD: includes two adults and dependent children 23 and under living in same household

SENIOR ADULT (65+)

TWO SENIOR ADULTS: includes two adults, each 65 and over living in same household

* Joining Fees supplement our operating budget and help keep membership and program fees more affordable for our members. This is a one-time fee as long as membership remains active. Fee is due on join date.

** Drafts from checking/savings accounts and credit cards are acceptable. Payments for membership must be made from one source. Member will choose monthly draft day (5th, 10th, 20th or 28th).

When you are ready to join, stop by our member service desk and bring:
  • A photo ID
  • Account information for draft (voided check, debit card or credit card)
  • Payment for joining fee and a prorated amount of the first month

 Memberships can be paid for annually (12 months at a time).

INSURANCE BASED MEMBERSHIPS

There are some insurances that will have a plan that includes a membership to the YMCA. These plans can be for any adult. Please check with your insurance to see if you have any of the following:

  • Silver Sneakers
    • For senior adults with Aenta, Devoted, or Humana insurances
  • Prime
    • For working adults with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance
  • Silver&Fit
    • For seniors with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance
  • Active&Fit
    • For working adults with Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Renew Active
    • For senior adults with United Healthcare
  • OnePass
    • For working adults with Medicare and Medicaid through United Healthcare

If you believe you have one of these plans, please bring your insurance card to the Member Service Desk for the staff to verify eligibility. 


MEMBERSHIP Policies

  • Members must check-in at the member service desk by membership card.
  • Each new member is given a membership card when they join. The replacement fee for a lost card is $5.
  • Membership and joining fee are non-refundable. Any exceptions must be approved by senior administration.
  • A joining fee is required to join and rejoin the YMCA, if the cancellation period exceeds 30 days
  • Cancellation forms must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the next billing or draft date to guarantee cancellation before the payment is withdrawn.
    • Cancellation forms are available at the member service desk.
  • Membership types may be changed at any time by completing a membership change form and must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the next billing or draft date to guarantee change. Membership upgrades also require a one-time upgrade fee.
    • Change forms are available at the member service desk. 
    • If adding a 3rd or 4th adult onto a membership, the 3rd/4th must complete a 3rd/4th adult form and submit proof of residency. Forms are available at the member service desk.
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children at all times.
  • Members may bring one guest per visit. No guests on Sundays. Learn more about guest policies and guest fees.
  • Dress Code: Appropriate attire must be worn at all times.
    • Shirts must be worn at all times and cover the majority of your torso.
    • Closed-toed and closed-heel athletic shoes are required. No Crocs, flip-flops, sandals, or slides.
    • Shorts and pants must cover the buttocks and not be see-through. No excessively short shorts.
    • Attire should be worn in a manner which does not expose undergarments or personal/private areas through all ranges of motion.
    • No clothing or tattoos with vulgar language, obscene gestures, racial slurs or anything that contributes to a hostile environment.

     


AGE REQUIREMENTS

  • YMCA: Children must be at least 11 years of age to be at the YMCA without a parent/guardian.
  • POOL: Ages 6–10 (who can swim without aid as determined by lifeguard) may be in the pool without an adult (adult must be on the pool deck).  Ages 5 and under and those age 6-10 who require a swimming aid (as determined by lifeguard) must be accompanied by a parent or an adult age 19 or over. Anyone 18 and younger must be wearing a colored band while in the pool. Band colors are determined by the lifeguard via swim test.
  • GYMNASIUM: Adults only (18 and over) Mon, Wed, Fri,  12:00pm – 2:00pm. Participants must be wearing a wristband given to them by the Member Service Staff upon check in.
  • RACQUETBALL: Must be at least 11 years old unless playing with an adult.
  • ADULT LOCKER ROOMS: No one under age 19 allowed (for any reason) even if accompanied by a parent or guardian
  • FAMILY LOCKER ROOMS: Available for everyone of all ages; those 5 years and younger can go in the opposite sex locker room. 
  • FAMILY RESTROOMS: Available for everyone of all ages to use when needing a more private space to change.
  • WELLNESS CENTER (Cardio Area): Members must be at least age 12 (guests age 16) to be in this area.  Members age 12-15 MUST have completed a Wellness Center Education Course to use this area.  12 year old members must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who has also taken the Wellness Center Education Course.  12-17 year olds must sign-in when entering the Wellness Center.
  • WELLNESS CENTER (Free Weight Area): Members must be at least age 14 (guests age 16) to be in this area, even if accompanied by an adult.  Members age 14-15 MUST have completed a Free Weight Education Course to use this area.
  • GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES: Ages 13 and up may attend.  Ages 11-12 may attend classes with a parent or guardian.  All ages must be at least 54 inches tall for group cycling class.
  • KID’S CLUB: Children 4 weeks old through age 12 may attend. 

Membership Referral

We want you to tell your friends and family how much you love the Y and encourage them to join and share in the experience with you.

If you refer a member* and they keep their membership active for 3 consecutive months, YOU (the current member) will receive the following:
  • $10 off 1 month's membership for youth or teen referral
  • $25 off 1 month's membership for all over membership types referred

Any insurance based memberships, ie. FitOn Health, Silver Sneakers, Silver and Fit, Renew Active, and Prime, are excluded.

Discount will be applied to current member only after new member has be active for 3 consecutive months.

Maximum of 6 referrals a year. 

*not applicable to upgrading current membership type
