Member Service Coordinator

The Tom A. Finch Community YMCA is currently seeking a qualified Member Service Coordinator to join our team. You will have a chance to be creative, be part of a supportive team, and make a difference in your community.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of management experience preferred
  • BA of BS preferred
  • Must be a team builder, highly organized and possess excellent customer service/communication skills
  • Flexible and energetic
  • Ability to multitask
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to resolve conflicts
  • Computer proficient including Word, Excel and ability to learn other programs quickly
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • First Aid and CPR certification 

Responsibilities:

  • Primary availability, 12-8pm with some weekends
  • Directs the overall front desk operation, ensuring proper implementation of front desk procedures with emphasis on exceptional member and guest service
  • Promotes program and membership enrollment in interactions with existing and potential members. Coordinates program registration, including logistics to support phone, walk-in, and web registration
  • Ensures that member response systems are working. Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction
  • Recruits, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates member service staff
  • Conducts tours and promotes memberships
  • Serves at the member service desk
  • Serves as manager on duty as needed

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • May be required to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while demonstrating manual dexterity in order to accurately work on the telephone, computer keyboard, and other equipment
  • Must possess auditory, verbal, and visual capabilities to adequately communicate via telephone, electronically, and in person
