The Tom A. Finch Community YMCA is currently seeking a qualified Director of Child Care to join our team. You will have a chance to be creative, be part of a supportive team, and make a difference in the lives of children.
Responsibilities:
Ensure a safe environment for the children in our care.
Manage child care program in accordance within financial and budgetary guidelines.
Hire, train, and supervise teachers and other staff for After School and Summer Day Camp programs.
Operate the program according to the state licensing standards.
Assist child care staff with the weekly development and execution of curriculum and program activities.
Purchase supplies, equipment, food, and other materials necessary for program operations.
Execute marketing plan necessary to maintain desired enrollment.
Planning of Summer Day Camp program.
Requirements:
Prefer at least one year of management experience.
Holds or pursuing BA in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related education/teaching field preferred.
Must be a team builder, highly organized, and posses excellent customer service/communication skills.
Have or willing to pursue NC Administrative Credentials
Knowledge of the SACERS Program
Knowledge of USDA and food program guidelines
Flexible and energetic
Have the ability to juggle multiple duties
Detail oriented
Computer proficient including Word, Excel, and the ability to learn other programs quickly
Must pass a criminal background check
Have a valid CDL license or willing to obtain within three months
First Aid and CPR certification
Strong leadership skills
Have the ability to develop relationships with families

PHYSICAL ABILITIES
