After School Enrichment Care

2011-2012 School Year

Ages: Kindergarten – 12 years of age (older than 12 years of age accepted, however additional paperwork will be needed; contact our director of child care for additional information)Time: Weekdays from time of school dismissal until 5:45 pmWe also offer before school child care from 6:30 am until school starts on weekdays at the YMCA.

Program locations: Programs are held on site at the following schools:  Fair Grove, Friendship and Hasty.  Transportation for all other schools is provided to the YMCA.

 

 

Schools we serve:

Elementary: Brier Creek,  Fair Grove, Friendship, Hasty, Hopewell, Liberty Drive, Thomasville Primary and Pilot

Middle: Braxton Craven, Brown, Ledford, Thomasville

 

Program components: Weekly themes, structured and unstructured active games, character development emphasis, daily devotions, homework assistance, nutritious snacks, creative expression activities, interest centers and other fun stuff. Monthly trips such as bowling and skating are also offered for minimal additional costs.

 

Staff: A staff to child ratio of 1:12 is maintained at all times.  All staff members are CPR and First Aid certified and trained in risk management, child abuse prevention and Basic School Age Care (BSAC).

 

 

All Day Programming: When children are out of school for workdays or holidays the YMCA offers child care for the entire day at no additional cost with the exception of inclement weather days, which cost $5 per child per day.

 

 

2011-2012 Cost for Members

Registration Fee:  $45 per child (non-refundable)

Before School Fee (monthly):  $82    ($75)

After School Fee (monthly):  $250   ($228)

2011-2012 Cost for Non-Members:

Registration Fee:  $55 per child (non-refundable)

Before School Fee (monthly):  $90    ($82)

After School Fee (monthly):  $285   ($260)

 

*Discounted rates for additional children are shown in parenthesis.

Note:  The YMCA site is a state licensed program and vouchers are accepted.

 

Financial Assistance Policy:

Financial assistance is provided to the extent that funds are available. The amount of financial assistance is determined based on a sliding scale which has been approved by the YMCA Board of Directors.  Documentation is required of relevant financial information.  Funds used for financial assistance come from United Way (for child care) and other donors (for membership and programs other than child care).
