Group Exercise Classes

EXERCISE CAN BE FUN!  Come check out one of our group exercise classes and find out.  We have over 60 group exercise classes each week that offer a GREAT workout while at the same time providing an opportunity for fellowship with others.

Particpants must be 13 years of age to participate in group exercise classes.  11 and 12 year olds may particpate in classes when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

 

Class Descriptions

Body Blast - This class strengthens your entire body and challenges all your major muscle groups using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses and curls.

Kettlebells – Known as a bowling ball with a handle, kettlebells burn fat, increase lean muscle, increase range of motion and flexibility, improve overall body conditioning and stamina.

Movers and Shakers – An early morning exercise smorgasbord using kettlebells, stability balls, medicine balls, step aerobics, resistance bands, core work and old favorites.  Engergize your day with this early bird class!

Sculpt and Stretch – This low-impact, cardio class focuses on strenghtening all the major muscles, stretching to improve overall flexibility and helps to decrease the risk of injury during activity.  Activties include steps, weights and Swiss balls.

SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength – Classes designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and improve daily living skill activities.

Cardio Circuit - This class combines resistance training and aerobics.  It is designed to be easy to follow and target strength building as well as muscular endurance.  This class consists of  exercise stations completed in timed intervals with cardio exercises in between.

Zumba, Zumba Express and Zumba Gold – A fusion of Latin and International music set to dance routines of aerobic interval training with the combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and scuplt the body.  Maximize calorie expenditure, fat burning and overall body tone.  Zumba Express is a quick intense workout and Zumba Gold is geared towards Active Adults.

Cardio Dance – A fusion of dance and body sculpting movements that will burn calories and make your workout fun.

Silver Circuit – this class offers standing and non-impact choreography alternated with standing upper body work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing and exercise balls.  A chair is used for standing support and increased effectiveness.

Indoor Cycling – The bike allows you to select your own resistance level while the instructor is there to challenge and encourage you.  Group cycling is a great cardiovascular workout that will revitalize your personal fitness program.

 

SilverSneakers® SilverStretch – Complete series of seated and standing yoga poses.  Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balanse and range of movement.  YogaFit – For both beginner and intermediate/advanced students.  Connect the spirit, mind and body in perfect harmony with asanas, or poses, to promote joint and muscular flexibility.
Deep Water Fitness – Our most intense water exercise class includes full body movements such as walking, jogging and running.  Try this class for the ultimate water exercise challenge. No Impact – This class incorporates water walking and exercises that concentrate on joint movements, range of motion, mobility, flexibility, balance and endurance, while addressing a variety of chronic diseases.  Great class for beginners.

SilverSneakers® SilverSplash – Offers lots of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance.  No swimming ability is required a kickboard is used to develop strength, balance and coordination.

Water Fitness for Health – A high intensity class that incorporates moving, jogging and running through the water.  This class focuses on cardiovascular training in both shallow and deep water.  Upper and lower body strengthening exercises complete this total body workout.

Y’s Way to Water Exercise – Uses a combination of cardiovascular and strength training exercises to provide a fun and invigorating workout.  This class incorporates walking, stretching and toning from head to toe using aquatic exercise equipment.
