The YMCA is a cause-driven organization and our CAUSE is to strengthen our community through Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility!

Our YMCA was founded in 1970 but we did not have a building to call our own.  Land was donated in 1974 by George and Becky Hundley and in 1977 the current building opened its doors.

Our YMCA has gone through several renovations and expansions over the years to meet the needs of our community, but since 1970 our mission hasn’t changed.

Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Did you know the first official game of basketball was played at the YMCA? Also volleyball was invented at the YMCA and the YMCA has taught more people to swim than any other organization in the world.
